KAMPOENG JAZZ at Padjadjaran University Bandung, is Coming Soon
Bandung as the city of mode, fashion, art and music is going to be painted in jazz at the end of May. Student Executive Board of Law Faculty of Padjadjaran University Bandung proudly presents the Kampoeng Jazz, a festival that will blend the traditional and modern aspects in jazz. This event is made based on social cause, to raise funds for fixing many broken elementary schools in Bandung.
Jazz is a universal music that belong to the whole world as a legitimate art expression. With its many sub genres, variations, colors and shapes, jazz has proved itself able to reach many different segments and enjoyed by all kinds of people throughout history. Therefore the development of jazz should not only carried by the nation where it was established. An event like Kampoeng Jazz is really needed to socialize many different layers of jazz to the society, and to help the jazz growth and development especially in Indonesia. Proud to say that this event is going to be an annual agenda and I’m sure it will become bigger and better in years to come.
Kampoeng Jazz 2009 goes with the tagline: “Live Like Jazz: A Modern Taste with Ethnic Touch”. This is going to be a whole day party, because not only music, but they will also provide bazaar of foods, fashions, accessories and merchandise in this festival. For the jazz part, it’s going to be held indoor in a big hall with one stage. It’s going to be a great festival, with many different shapes and colors of jazz. so make sure you won’t miss Kampoeng Jazz.
