As the latest dining concept of Tugu Hotel Group, Shanghai Blue 1920 was established in memory of its original owner, a Betawi woman named Siti Djaenab. She opened a simple food stall in Sunda Kelapa with the help of her husband having Chinese blood from Shanghai, Chan Mo Sang. What started as a humble hawker serving tea and snacks and convenience goods, Warong Shanghai then turned into a tea house as well as a hip meeting point for the Batavians in 1920′s. Now it’s a romantic restaurant/jazz lounge playing jazz music from 1920′s to 1960′s and serving nostalgic cuisine from Shanghai. Traveling back in time at Shanghai Blue 1920 Club.
