Jazz Ramadhan Report
Jazz Ramadhan was held as part of the Kampoeng Jazz Festival socialization program. Although it was a little bit lack of preparation since brochures were distributed a couple of days before the due day, many people were still willing to come to this event. I can say it was quite successful.
In this occasion, many local bands were willing to participate and perform from 3 pm to 9.30 pm. Some of the bands were: Rakabitor, Bad Boys Blues, Tanpamana, Applepine, Bayu & Tesla, Javalava and Bop Vivant. Jazz Ramadhan was hold as part of the campaign for Kampoeng Jazz which is going to be held at November 31th. In this opportunity, Jazz Ramadhan was successful in delivering a lot of different jazz genres to the listeners.
This event was held outdoor provided with a lot of stands selling a lot of local snacks at the roadside. Although many people still didn’t know most of the bands, their performance were incredible. Applepine performed with its own funky mainstream, the dynamic duo Bayu & Tesla delivered a great combination between piano and guitar, Javalava was so cool with its own acoustic style. Further, Bop Vivant performed amazingly with his bop style. However, I didn’t have chance to see other performers since I was late to come to the festival. From the bottom of my heart, I give a lot of credits to Student Executive Board of Law Faculty of Padjadjaran University Bandung for their efforts to introduce different kinds of jazz genres in Indonesia.
