Dwiki Dharmawan World Peace Orchestra at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta
Dwiki Dharmawan World Peace Orchestra is a global project, consists of Indonesian and foreign musicians across generations with great skills. Their stunning music adapted many Indonesian traditional beats and elements like Sundanese, Balinese, Ambonese, Bataknese and so on. It came from Dwiki Dharmawan‘s concern with how traditional music can answer the test of time. It’s a very important cause to bring these magical traditional music through their creativity and deliver it in a very stunning multinational orchestration.
World Peace Orchestra, “The Soul of Indonesia”, has proven their capability to rouse the enthusiasm of international musicians to participate in the project. Not only preserving the traditional music locally, but this grand concept will surely drag the world’s attention, globally.
Besides presenting the stunning ethnical journey, Dwiki Dharmawan will also launch the World Peace Orchestra‘s new album in this occasion. All will happen this Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Gedung Kesenian (GKJ) Jakarta.
