Java Jazz Festival 2010: Mindi Abair, Ron King Big Band, Elfa’s Singers

This is the last day of Java Jazz Festival 2010. The day started earlier than the last 2 days, yet people are still crowding the venue.

The gorgeous sax diva, Mindi Abair performed solo on the 3rd day  after the 2nd day show with Pamela Williams & Jessy J. With Jeff Lorber on the keyboards, as usual, Mindi plays her sax with the smooth and urban jazz tunes attractively sexy. At the end of the show, Mindi even said that she would love to come to the festival every year, and we do hope you keep that promise!

A grammy award nominee, trumpeter and also composer Ron King now coming back to the festival with his incredible big band. After backing up Renee Olstead, Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices, Slank, Eric Benet and Margie Segers on the previous series of Java Jazz,  on the 2nd day this year, the big band now performing on their own show.  His constant presence to the festival is quite a treasure for us,  for Ron King is a remarkable musician that has charmed many jazzlovers.

From B1 Hip Artists Hall Artist we got the classic harmony vocal group, Elfa’s Singers. Starting with a new lineup with two guest singers they brought some Michael Jackson’s songs to tribute him. With songs like “Beat It” and “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” they managed to grab the attention of their long time fans and also the new generation of music lovers.

The formation then changed to the original one with Yana Julio, Agus Wisman, Lita Zen and Uci. and they continued to bring their performance to finish with the dreamy and fairy tale concept.
