Following the first official press release a week ago, another official press release regarding the upcoming Java Jazz Festival 2010 has been released today by Java Festival Production. The list of confirmed artists now gets longer by some of the wish list that finally reached the deal to participate in AXIS Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2010.

Check out the official statement from Java Festival Production.

AXIS Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival
“Jazzin’ Up Remarkable Indonesia”

The number of international artists that have applied to participate in Java Jazz Festival is keep on increasing. That fact clearly shows that Java Jazz Festival is getting more acceptance in the international jazz world. The response have been amazing. Some of the big names have sent e-mail to participate at Java Jazz Festival 2010 since last March, 2009. Based on this fact, we could see that the international jazz artists have attached seriously with this festival, the pride of Indonesia, that has always been held in the first week of March every year.

So far the list looks pretty. The names that have confirmed to perform at AXIS Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival are as follow:
Arturo O’Farril
Breakestra
Brian Lynch Latin Jazz Quartet
Carl Allen
Chieli Minucci & Special EFX
Christian McBride
David Murray Black Saint Quartet
Eric Benet
Hendrik Meurkens Samba Jazz Quartet
Hubert Laws
Ivan Lins
Jane Monheit
Karen Briggs
Lao Tizer
Lee Ritenour
Novello B3 Soul feat. Eric Marienthal
Ron King Big Band
Rufus & Sly Stone
Soulbop Special Edition featuring Steve Lukather, Robben Ford, Darryl Jones, Randy Brecker, Bill Evans and Rodney Holmes
The Rat Pack
Tony Monaco

Of course the list will get bigger and longer with many more names that soon will follow, including some artists that come from the Embassies.

Just like last year, AXIS Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival got heavily backed up by AXIS as the title sponsor of this event. This shows AXIS’ commitment to participate in music industry development by presenting international class artists. This will be very beneficial for our local talents that may use the chance to discuss or exchange their knowledge and information about Jazz music. AXIS has commited to be the title sponsor of AXIS Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival for 3 years, starting 2009 to 2011.
