Happy to say that Harvey Mason, one of the most influential jazz drummer/percussionist is ready to make his return at the Java Jazz Festival. It’s not going to be just a decent come back, but this time Mason is going to produce a very special tribute to the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson. “A Java Jazz Tribute to Michael Jackson”, that’s how Mason described his project. There’s nothing better than having a tribute to Michael Jackson through the hands of the expert like Mason. Yes, Michael is often referred as the King of Pop, but we can’t deny that he has written some of the songs with thick jazzy taste. There are also many jazz versions of his songs as well can be found from time to time. So it’s going to be interesting to see what Harvey Mason would deliver as a tribute to Michael Jackson.
Brian Simpson is known as the in-residence of Java Jazz Festival. That means, he’s always appear supporting Java Jazz Festival, playing with various different artists with his outstanding touch on keyboard. It’s great to know that Brian Simpson is coming back once again at this year’s Java Jazz Festival 2010. You will find him as usual gracing many stages for the whole 3 days.

Here’s what Harvey Mason says:
“Hi this is Harvey Mason. Thanks so much for coming at our last show, we had a ball. I’ve got something very special for you this year! I’m gonna produce a very special tribute to Michael Jackson. A Java Jazz Tribute To Michael Jackson with all his favorite songs. Lots of great artists. Come on out and check it out, I’ll see you at Java Jazz 2010.”
and here’s from Brian Simpson:
“Hi this is Brian Simpson, and I’m excited to say that I’m coming back to the Java Jazz Festival in March 2010. Check it out online, I’m gonna be involved in several shows there, and I look forward to see each and everyone. This is gonna be one great festival.”
And last but not least, here’s from Chieli Minucci:
“Hi Jakarta, this is Chieli Minucci from Special EFX and I’m very excited to let you know that we’re gonna be coming back for the Java Jazz Festival 2010. Also we’re gonna be playing with pianist Lao Tizer and violinist Karen Briggs, and we’re gonna be doing a special show with these two artists and I hope you guys can come down and see the show, I will really looking forward to see all of our friends and meeting some new fans and just enjoying this amazing festival that will be happening.”
